The NIBE Connection Card (Part No. 718462) is an OEM interface circuit board designed specifically for the NIBE F470 exhaust air heat pump.

Overview & Function

• Primary Role: Acts as a signal and power distribution interface between the main controller and key sub-components (including the supply/extract air fan unit, compressor controls, and the BT28 temperature sensor).

• Location: Installed inside the electrical/compressor section of the heat pump unit.

Typical Symptoms of a Faulty Card

If this board fails or suffers damage (e.g., from power surges or component shorting), the system will usually trigger an alarm or show these symptoms:

• Fan or Compressor Loss: Supply/extract fan stopped or compressor failing to receive power/signal.

• Sensor Errors: Erroneous temperature readings from BT28.

• System Alarms: Low pressure (LP) alarms or low airflow faults triggered by unresponsive fans.

Basic Visual Verification & Diagnostics

1. Power Isolation: Ensure the heat pump is completely powered off via the main isolating switch before opening any access panels.

2. Visual Inspection: Look for visible signs of burn marks, blown traces, swollen capacitors, or loose terminal pin connectors.

3. Cable Check: Verify that all multi-pin wiring harnesses connected to the card are fully seated and free of corrosion.

4. Post-Replacement Check: Once replaced and powered back on, verify that the fans spin up smoothly during startup and that no sensor or communication alarms appear on the main display interface.
